Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Premieres Tomorrow on Hulu

American audiences will be able to stream the premiere of the new anime Boruto: Naruto Next Generations on the same day it premieres in Japan! The show launches tomorrow, April 5th, on Hulu.

Based on the iconic series Naruto, by Masashi Kishimoto, the new series follows the adventures of the famous ninja’s son Boruto. New subtitled episodes will premiere every Wednesday on Hulu. With Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Hulu adds to its ever-growing collection of anime titles.

As the series opens, the life of the shinobi is beginning to change. Boruto Uzumaki, son of Seventh Hokage Naruto Uzumaki, has enrolled in the Ninja Academy to learn the ways of the ninja. Now, as a series of mysterious events unfolds, Boruto’s story is about to begin!

In addition to the subbed episodes, VIZ Media has plans to make an English dub, featuring the talented voice cast that dubbed Boruto: Naruto the Movie — including Amanda Miller as Boruto, Cherami Leigh as Sarada (daughter of Sasuke), and Robbie Daymond as Mitsuki.

But wait, there’s more! Fans will also be able to enjoy Boruto: Naruto the Movie, currently available on Blu-ray/DVD combo pack or standard DVD, as well as the English-language debut of the new Boruto manga, which launched today. The manga is rated T for teens and will be available both digitally and in print editions.

If you haven’t already, make sure you check out Farid’s review of Boruto: Naruto the Movie. Farid has also been reviewing the recent chapters of the new Boruto manga. Speaking of, the most recent chapter is only 11, which makes me wonder if the anime is based off the manga or a completely separate storyline, because there can hardly be enough content in the manga for there to already be a series.

What do you guys think? Are you excited about Boruto: Naruto Next Generations?
