Ash’s Original Companions Brock and Misty Coming To Pokemon Anime This Month

Brock and Misty Pokemon anime Sun and Moon

Fans of the Pokemon anime will finally get to see Ash reunite with his original companions, Brock and Misty, for two-episodes this month in Sun and Moon.

While Ash Ketchum has gone on to make numerous friends in the Pokemon anime, for longtime fans, none of the new characters can beat Brock and Misty, the originals they grew up watching.

I’ve been hoping to see Brock and Misty appear in the anime series again, considering how the Pokemon Company has made a huge deal about celebrating its 20th anniversary. A new film, retelling the original events, was released, but it erased Brock and Misty, only making them appear in post-credit cameos.

So it’s good to see that those two will be back in Pokemon Sun and Moon anime, if only for two episodes. Fingers crossed we get to see more of them soon!

Misty’s last appearance in the main anime was back in 2006 (US air date). Brock was able to hang around with Ash for a while longer. His last appearance in the anime series was in 2013, where met Cilan.

In Pokemon Sun and Moon, Ash will be traveling back to Kanto for a school project. There he’ll meet up with Brock and Misty, as well as his old Pokemon.

The two episodes are titled Alola at KantōTakeshi and Kasumi!! and Gym Battle! Z-Move VS Mega Evolution!!. They will air in Japan on September 14 and 21, 2017, respectively.

According to a scan, both Brock and Misty seem to have achieved Mega Evolutions for their Pokemon.

I’m a huge fan of Misty. I even wrote an entire article about her.

I’d also like to see Serena (from Pokemon X and Y) appear in the anime somewhere down the line. She’s Ash’s only female companion that the writers pushed as a love interest. The two even kissed. It’ll be interesting to see how their relationship develops if she does appear.

Are you a fan of Brock and Misty? Are you excited about them returning to the anime series? Let us know.
