New Comic Con Teen Wolf 6B Trailer Released! Still No Stydia

San Diego Comic Con Teen Wolf 6B trailer

A new Teen Wolf 6B trailer was released during San Diego Comic Con 2017. The Comic Con Teen Wolf 6B trailer features some new footage and tons of plot threads that won’t be resolved.

While the previous trailer made use of Sterek, we get a different queer pairing in the new one. This year’s San Diego Comic Con Teen Wolf 6B trailer had a lot of Corey and Mason in it. I found this trailer to be better than the last one. But one thing is clear, even though 6B only consists of 10 episodes, it hasn’t stopped Jeff Davis. There’s just too much going on and we all know none of it will be resolved in a satisfying manner.

Check out the trailer!

Gerard seems to be amassing an army to hunt down all supernatural beings in Beacon Hills and it falls on the great Alpha Scott to save everyone. There are also some quick shots of Peter and Deucalion. Also, Lydia still looks like a sad character, a far cry from the confident high schooler when she was first introduced.

Talking about Lydia, it’s weird that there weren’t any Stydia scenes. Either the show is saving them for another trailer or Jeff Davis doesn’t care. From all of the promotional material we’ve seen, the show has given us Sterek, Morey, and Scaliugh (the Scott and Maliugh pairing). Where’s all the Stydia? Who knows!

There are also rumors about Jackon (Colton Haynes) returning to the show as a queer character. If Jackson ends up being queer that will be another feather in Jeff’s ‘ways-to-ruin-Teen-Wolf’ cap. I get that there are fans who are happy with Jackson being queer. But I refuse to call it representation. Changing Jackson’s sexuality in a fictional world that has no homophobia makes zero sense. Especially when he was best friends with Danny and it was Lydia’s love that saved Jackson. It all comes across as a poor excuse to make the show seem queer inclusive.

Also, if Jackson has always been queer then I guess we have Lydia to thank. Apparently, her love is perfect for getting closeted queers to embrace the rainbow. Do you know who else Lydia kissed? Stiles!

Here’s an entire rant!

Teen Wolf 6B will premiere on July 30, 2017. Let’s see what the final 10 episodes have in store for fans. There’s also talks about rebooting the franchise.
