Digimon Adventure tri – ‘Reunion’ Brings Back Original Voice Cast for US Release

 Digimon Adventure tri Reunion

The upcoming American release of Digimon Adventure tri – Reunion has revealed the voice cast along with a new trailer. Check it out!

We shared news about the September US release of the English dubbed version of Digimon Adventure tri – Reunion back in June. Now the English voice cast has been revealed along with a trailer. The return of some of the original English voice cast is quite exciting. Joshua Seth is returning to voice Tai along with Colleen O’Shaughnessey (Sora Takenouchi), Mona Marshall (Izzy Izumi), Philece Sampler (Mimi Tachikawa), Tom Fahn (Agumon), Kirk Thornton (Garurumon), Jeff Nimoy (Tentomon and Kabuterimon), Melodee Spevack (Birdramon), and Dave Mallow (Angemon).

“The ‘Reunion’ in the film’s title has meaning in both the real and fictional world of Digimon as we are delighted the original cast will be reprising their iconic roles,” commented Masayuki Endo, President of Toei Animation Inc. “After the film’s resounding theatrical success in Japan, we wanted to create something special for our American fans and we could think of no better way to do that than to team up the best English cast possible.”

Joining the original cast will be Robbie Daymond (Transformers, Mobile Suit Gundam) as Joe; Johnny Yong Bosch (Yo-Kai Watch, Sailor Moon, Bleach) as TK; Tara Sands (Pokemon, One Punch Man) as Kari; Kate Higgins (Powerpuff Girls, Monster High) as Gatoman and Meicoomon; Cherami Leigh (Erased, Xenoblade) as Biyomon and Himekawa; Christina Vee (Tekken, K-ON) as Meiko; Kyle Herbert (Dragon Ball, Naruto) as Greymon; and Doug Erholtz (Street Fighter, Care Bears) as Nishijima.

Eleven Arts and Toei Animation Inc. have announced that English dubbed Digimon Adventure tri – Reunion will be shown in more than 400 theaters on September 15, 2016. Viewers will also be shown an extended sneak peek of the English subbed Digimon Adventure tri – Confession. Fans will be treated to bonus special content as well.

You can see the whole list of theaters showing the movie here. Tickets can be purchased online through Fathom Events. Check out the new trailer for the upcoming US release.

I’ve watched the first two movies in the Digimon Adventure tri project. I enjoyed them both and can’t wait for Confession to be released.
