Doctor Who and More: Titan at the NY Toy Fair 2015

First, Titan does so much more then awesome vinyls. They also do loads of fan magazines and some amazing books as well. Yet, as we met them at the NY Toy Fair, it’s the swag we are going to write about. I had the pleasure of meeting the director of Titan Merchandise, Andrew Sumner. He gave me personal tour of the booth, equipped with his English charm and all.

Of course the first thing we discussed was the Doctor Who collection. These vinyls are absolutely amazing and highly detailed. They have a wide range of blind boxes that cover all of the Doctors. I have to admit, I’m kind of smitten with K-9. He’s adorable otherwise, but make him a vinyl mini and I am melting. Titan also does larger Doctor Who vinyls, including 6.5″ and 8″ heroes and villains. Give me the 10th Doctor in a tuxedo any day, thank you!

In addition to Doctor Who, they’ve also got a new Sherlock line coming out soon. They have variants for Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson, as well as James Moriarty, Irene Adler, Mycroft Holmes, and more. These are going to be 3″ blind-boxed, and some will come with a character specific accessory. I think I’m the only one that there isn’t a Crazy!Anderson.

The vinyls are all over the map with their fandoms (which is fabulous), including Ghostbusters, Firefly, The Beatles, Angel, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Breaking Bad, Alien, and Battlestar Galactica. One of my favourites in the case was really the Louis Tully from Ghostbusters, complete with colander attached to his head. It’s definitely the details that gives Titan the edge. It looks like I’m going to have to clear some shelf space to add some of these gems to my collection!

  1. Interesting… But I don’t see my favourite companion there, and it makes me sad.

(Nice to see Yellow Submarine vinyls though.)
