FEELINGS Daily: What Is the Deal with Marvel Right Now?

aou15

What is the deal with Marvel at the moment? The usually well-oiled machine is all over the place. First Robert Downey Jr. gets everyone excited about a big announcement yesterday. What was the announcement? Well, it seems the cast of Avengers: Age of Ultron are going on a media tour. Wow, super surprising right? It’s almost as though they’re publicizing a movie they’ve got coming out… oh wait. I love you, Marvel, but you need to chill.

The Daily Dot has a pretty good article about why Marvel missed the mark – read it here.

As if that mess wasn’t enough, we’ve also been told that there will be no post-credits scene at the end of Age of Ultron. Apparently Joss Whedon doesn’t think he can top the shawarma scene from last time. As someone that reads A LOT of Marvel fanfiction, I would love to see the team go out to eat something else because even though I’m not even the one eating it, just reading about it is making me sick of shawarma. That’s just one idea. Tumblr has some others.

Joss Whedon let the cat out of the bag because: “We want people to know so they don’t sit there for 10 minutes and then go: ‘Son of a bitch! I’ll kill them!’” Well, let me tell you something, Joss, I am probably still going to sit in that theatre until the end of those credits even though I know there’s nothing there because I would really hate to miss out if there was. So I’m going to be pissed even with the warning so you may as well just go shoot something already. (via Entertainment Weekly

I also heard some pretty upsetting rumours about Hawkeye in Age of Ultron that I am not going to share because I don’t want to get shot by the Disney sniper. But if they turn out to be true I’m gonna be pretty pissed. Anyway, here’s some Wade Wilson to cheer me up. (via io9

HBO’s standalone streaming service HBOGo is now available! And here’s John Oliver to sell it to you.

Finally let me introduce you to my new favorite fandom… it’s the Taylor Swift and Kristen Stewart should star in a Grease remake together fandom.

I mean it was a good idea to start with…

… and then it got better.

Then this happened and I have to cry now because this is not a thing.
