Geekiary News Briefs! Jurassic World, Avengers Infinity War, and More Get New Trailers!

Jurassic World Trailer IndoraptorWelcome to today’s Geekiary Briefs! It was the night of trailers during the Super Bowl LII, showcasing new footage from Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Westworld season 2, Avengers: Infinity War, Solo: A Star Wars Story, and more! So, of course, we’re going to talk about them.

I’m going to start with Avengers: Infinity War. It was a 30-second spot that packed a lot of superheroes. We also got to see Captain America’s new shield. I was hoping for an Incredibles 2 trailer from Disney, but I guess we’ll have to wait a while longer. Avengers: Infinity War is scheduled for a May 4, 2018, US release (though some parts of the world will see it as early as April 25).

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom also got a trailer that gave fans a better look at a new dinosaur (Indoraptor?). It also let fans get a taste of the horror-vibe the film’s director J.A. Bayona was going for. Let’s face it, the trailer itself looks stupid. Not in a bad way though, just stupid fun. Jurassic World is probably going to end up being a very mediocre film, but I’ll definitely watch it because DINOSAURS!

It’s scheduled to hit US theatres on June 22, 2018.

Also, Jeff Goldblum, because why not?

Disney reminded the world that Solo: A Star Wars Story is indeed happening. A teaser trailer showed some cool action-sequences and even had a character say “Trust me, you’re gonna love it.” Let’s see how it fares at the box office.

Westworld 2 also got a trailer and revealed its April 22, 2018, premiere date. Judging by the trailer, we can expect an uprising and a lot of mysteries. I can’t wait!

I’m not a big Tom Cruise fan, but while on the topic of trailers, I have to admit that the one for Mission: Impossible – Fallout is amazing! That’s how you make a trailer! Also, Henry Cavill’s mustache!

Netflix also debuted a trailer for The Cloverfield Paradox and went on to release the film after the Super Bowl.

Which trailer did you enjoy watching the most? Feel free to share your thoughts with us.
