Kira Will Not Be Part of Teen Wolf Season 6 Arden Cho Announces In Video!
What fans have been speculating has finally happened! Actress Arden Cho will not be returning for the sixth season of Teen Wolf as the kitsune Kira Yukimura. Check out the details and the video she posted to share the news with her fans.
If you have been keeping up with Teen Wolf then you, just like a lot of other fans, must have noticed Kira being pushed to the background. While season 5 was supposedly going to focus more on her and her supernatural heritage, fans soon discovered that something quite opposite was occurring onscreen. Even her solo episode had story arcs of other characters in it. It felt as if Jeff Davis and the other Teen Wolf writers just weren’t trying anymore. Putting more focus on the 2.0 characters clearly meant that Kira had to be let go. She did get some interesting bits in season 5 with the introduction of the skinwalkers and her kitsune powers trying to take control of her personality but nothing ever became of them.
Arden Cho herself seems sad in the video she posted on her personal YouTube channel. You can sense the disappointed she feels due to Kira not being able to grow as a character during the series. However, she also talks about other projects she has been working on and I wish her all the best for her future endeavors. She is a talented young actress and I do believe that her fans will continue to support her. Who knows, leaving Teen Wolf might end up being the best decision ever for Arden.
Teen Wolf is no stranger to cast members leaving. With how Kira was being handled as a character fans knew it was only a matter of time before Arden left as well.
