Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Reveals Gameplay With 2nd Trailer! Where Are The X-Men?

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Collector's Edition

The new trailer for the upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite game showcases character abilities and what the Infinity Stones can do. But where are the X-Men?

It all started back in 1996 when Marvel and Capcom partnered up for X-Men vs. Street Fighter. From then on, the series only grew and Infinite serves as the 8th installment. However, considering that it was the X-Men franchise that started the whole thing, it feels weird that not a single character has been revealed to be part of Infinite.

Coming to the new trailer we have Chun-Li, Strider Hiryu, and Chris representing Capcom while Hulk, Hawkeye, Ultron, and Thor represent Marvel. The gameplay seems fast-paced and we also get to see Ultron using one of the Infinity Stones to lock Clint in an energy cage.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite will include two-member teams instead of the previous three-member mechanic. The third slot will be taken up by an Infinity Stone that allows players to use various buffs during battles.

Fans of the game can also pre-order the collector’s edition (for Xbox One and PS4) if they have the cash to spare. The Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Collector’s Edition is priced at $199.99 (including tax and shipping). You’ll get a copy of the game upon its release in September, along with four Diorama statues made by Tri-Force. The statues are of Chun-Li, Captain Marvel, Iron Man, and Mega Man).

The company could’ve easily had all of the statues be of male characters, so it’s nice to see equal representation here. Furthermore, the female statues aren’t hypersexualized so that’s awesome, too.

The Collector’s Edition also includes all six Infinity Stones that are placed in a decorative light-up case. Pre-ordering the game will also give you new character skins. The Deluxe edition will provide access to 6 DLC characters post-launch.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is set for a 19 September, 2017, release date for the PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.
