Netflix Renews Sense8 for a Second Season!

sense8

All Sensates around the world rejoice because Netflix has renewed one of the most awesome TV shows, Sense8, for a second season, and it can’t premiere fast enough!

Fans have been waiting for months for any news about Sense8’s renewal and, being someone who dabbles in the fandom, I know that some fans started losing hope. But fear not, because Netflix broke the news on Twitter with a video showing the cast of the original series wishing a happy birthday to the show and announcing that they are coming back.

Be warned that Max Riemelt is in the video and I just melted seeing him! I still can’t stop thinking about Free Fall, which is a gift to humanity.

I am personally very happy about the news. Sense8 has impressive queer representation along with a compelling story. Don’t forget to check out an amazing piece by UndieGirl about why Sense8 is simply awesome.

How do you feel about Sense8 coming back for a second season? What do you predict will happen to the characters now? Let us know!

  1. I’m totally excited!!!!! I hope the whole season is not Will in a constant state of sleep. That would be boring! I’m excited to see all of the sensates come together if it will in fact happen or to continue to stay where they are and help each other out within their cluster and find all the answers to “Whispers”. I loved the show and I’m going to watch it again!

  2. I was kind of hoping the delay was due to negotiations for the full 5 season run envisioned by the creators, and not just the Sensates birthday, August 8th… it was one of the theories being passed around during this 2 month painful wait.

  3. I couldn’t be more excited! A series like this, especially with the global filming in lieu of green screen faking, is the sort of thing I always wanted to do as an actor.
