The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series “A New Frontier” Episode 3 Gets Release Date!

The walking dead A New Frontier Telltale Games above the law

A teaser trailer and title for The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series “A New Frontier” Episode 3 was revealed at PAX East. Episode 3, “Above The Law”, will be available on 28th March, 2017.

I’ve been playing Telltale Games The Walking Dead series since the first season. While season 3 “A New Frontier” introduced new characters, it also had a grown-up Clementine tag along. Judging by the teaser trailer, her and AJ’s journey hasn’t been a happy one. She seems to have gone through a lot before meeting Javier, and I’m looking forward to seeing more flashbacks.

Telltale Games released the first two episodes together, which I’ve already reviewed. While I’m okay with Javier being one of the main characters alongside Clementine, what I’m not okay with is the Javier/Kate/David love triangle. Those three were experiencing cringe-worthy drama before the zombie apocalypse. It’ll be interesting to see how David will react now that his family members have returned. Will he seek revenge for Mariana?

Episode 2 also introduced Jesus, from The Walking Dead comics. I hope he sticks around for episode 3 and subsequent episodes, too. Also, I wouldn’t mind a Jesus mini-series where I get to use some cool fighting skills to kill walkers. Telltale Games has already done a Michoone mini-series, they should give Jesus one, too.

You’ll be able to play episode 3 “Above the Law” on 28th March. The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series “A New Frontier” is available for PS4, PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Android and iOS. A special season pass retail disc is also available for purchase.

Coming to another Telltale Games title, the company will be releasing Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy sometime this spring.

Have you played “A New Frontier” yet? Are you looking forward to episode 3 “Above the Law”? Let us know.
