San Diego Comic-Con 2018 Day 1 Roundup! Dr. Who, Dragon Ball Super, And More!

Dr Who trailer SDCC 18 Day 1

The first day of San Diego Comic-Con 2018 has ended and fans got to see a lot of awesome geeky stuff. SDCC 18 Day 1 included the premiere of numerous trailers, fun panels, and so much more! Let’s go over some of them!

Of course, I won’t be able to talk about everything that happened during SDCC 18 Day 1. If there was anything you were excited about, feel free to share it with us in the comments section below!

I would like to start by mentioning our Admin receiving the Syfy Creator Award. It was glorious!

The trailer for Dr. Who season 11 premiered and yes, Jodie Whittaker is going be an amazing Doctor. We also have the press room panel up on our YouTube channel.

The Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles trailer also received a reveal. I don’t know about all of you, but I can’t wait for this animated series to premiere on September 17, 2018, on Nickelodeon.

Marvel/Netflix shared the trailer for Iron Fist Season 2.

George R. R. Martin’s Nightflyers, a space-horror story, also debuted a trailer.

Anime fans went wild over the trailer for Dragon Ball Super: Broly. The animated film will premiere in the U.S. sometime in January 2019 but an exact date has not been set yet.

We also received a ton of merch from DC Collectibles.

A new trailer for the upcoming Spider-Man PS4 game featured a few handfuls of familiar characters.

Conan O’Brien released a hilarious piece of sketch comedy showing Batman’s desire to join the MCU.

A trailer for Marvel Rising was also released. While I am excited the animated series features Kamala Khan, Miss America, and more, the animation style is way too simple for me. Their mouths don’t even move in sync with the dialogue. Am I supposed to think of this as anime? Is it a kids’ cartoon? Will we ever know?

Facebook is buzzing with what appears to be the most exciting news of all: Star Wars: The Clone Wars is coming back with 12 new episodes. It will premiere on the upcoming Disney streaming service in 2019.

Make sure to follow us on Twitter to stay up-to-date with live tweets from numerous press panels, exciting fan parties, cosplay, and more.

Let’s see what SDCC 18 Day 2 has in store for us!
