While the second day of San Diego Comic-Con 2018 can be described as trailers galore, the biggest news to come out of SDCC 18 Day 2 was definitely (at least for us) the LGBTQ+ representation in Netflix’s Voltron animated series!

It was all about the Voltron fandom yesterday! Main character Takashi Shirogane is queer y’all and more will be revealed about his past when season 7 premieres on August 10, 2018. Our editor and content writer Jamie was able to watch the premiere episode and according to her, it was amazing! She also attended the press room. Make sure to read her Voltron at SDCC 2018 coverage.

A very long trailer for The Walking Dead season 9 was released and of course, it had a lot of monologuing, heavy breathing, random subtitles, and more. Andrew Lincoln also addressed his departure from the show. He will appear in only six episodes.

Let’s see how the series moves forward considering most of its main cast will be leaving once season 9 wraps up. Make sure to watch our The Bitching Dead webcasts for all the tea!

Also, Samantha Morton has been cast as Alpha. She is amazing in Harlots. Nadia Hilker, from The 100, will play Magna.

A trailer for the second-half of Fear The Walking Dead season 4 was released, too. I don’t know how the ratings will fare with Madison gone, but perhaps a Zombienado (featured in the new trailer) will attract viewers? Again, make sure to watch The Bitching Dead!

During the SDCC 18 Day 2 Halloween panel in Hall H, Jamie Lee Curtis reminded everyone why she is rightfully the ever-reigning final girl. She discussed her iconic character Laurie Strode and the importance of the upcoming horror-film during the #MeToo era.

The world didn’t understand what was happening when M. Night Shyamalan released Unbreakable back in 2000. But times have changed and movies about superheroes make big bucks at the box office. So, of course, the trailer for Glass had everyone go crazy!

Rebecca Romojin has joined Star Trek: Discovery season 2 on CBS All Access. She will be playing Number One, a role originally portrayed by Majel Barrett Roddenberry. Spock will make his debut during the show’s second season as well. Standalone mini ‘Short Treks’ episodes will be released, too.

Fans of the Batman and Catwoman pairing have an animated movie to look forward to. Hush, an iconic Batman story which was the first to bring the romantic potential of the Bat/Cat relationship to the forefront, is getting an animated treatment for a 2019 release. Tom King’s current Batman run will have Bruce go back to his Hush-era costume, too.

Princess Diana is getting a solo-movie as well. An original animated film titled Wonder Woman: Bloodlines is set to be released next year.

Amazon Prime Video showcased The Tick, The Expanse, Lore, Jack Ryan, Good Omens, and more.

We got more information about the upcoming DC Super Hero Girls animated series on Cartoon Network.

Shout! Factory will release the complete Digimon Adventure tri. movie series (which consists of six anime films) in one collection.
