Looks like fans will continue attending Brakebills College for Magical Padagogy next year, because Syfy has renewed The Magicians for another season!

According to Variety, The Magicians was renewed by Syfy for a sophomore season. The new season is set to air sometime in 2017, and will consist of 13 episodes.

The Magicians hasn’t aired half of season one yet, so news of its renewal shows the faith the network has in the TV series. For those of you who might not know, the fantasy series garners near to a million live viewers each week. It also averaged 1.7 million total viewers when three days of delayed viewing was taken into account. Those are impressive numbers for a new show.

The series is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Lev Grossman. It stars Jason Ralph as Quentin Coldwater, the protagonist; Stella Maeve as Julia Wicker, Olivia Taylor Dudley as Alice Quinn, Hale Appleman as Eliot Waugh, Arjun Gupta as William ‘Penny’ Adiyodi, and Summer Bishil as Margo Hanson. Sera Gamble and John McNamara serve as the creators, and it is produced by Mitch Engel.
