Can you believe Robot Chicken is coming back for an eighth season? Neither can the writers, most of whom assumed that their season 1 skit about being cancelled would come true. But on October 25th, Seth Green and company return with an all-new season that promises to be just as weird and entertaining as the previous seven. (They could not stop talking about their Michael Bay sketch.) As pop culture continues to evolve, there’s a whole new host of things to be mocked and a brand new crop of guest stars to join in the fun.

I spoke to Breckin Meyer as well as Tom Sheppard (director) and Tom Root (executive producer and co-head writer) about what surprises lie in store. They also shared a little about skits that never made it to air.

Robot Chicken season 8 premieres Sunday, October 25th on Adult Swim. But don’t miss their highly-anticipated third DC Comics special on October 18th!
