US fans looking forward to playing Alchemy Stars: Aurora Blast can now pre-register for the game on iOS and Android devices. The upcoming anime strategy RPG title has already amassed more than a million global sign-ups. And yes, I’ve registered, too.

Being able to pre-register means US players can also participate in pre-launch events for Alchemy Stars: Aurora Blast. The upcoming mobile game has been described as a mash-up of online RPG and card gameplay. The creative team has been hyping up the story elements, graphics, and a dynamic musical score.

The premise reads:

In Alchemy Stars: Aurora Blast, the worlds of light and darkness collide when the Aurorians and Caelestites, who have lived peacefully on the land of Astra for hundreds of years, are forced to face a mysterious organization. Dark creatures, known as Eclipsites, have been sent to exterminate the Caelestites.

Of course, the playable characters feature unique personalities and abilities. This game does have some good-looking battle animations (something I’m looking forward to because not many mobile games have that).

According to the promotional material, TourDog Studio even cast a star-studded voice actor ensemble, including some of the most notable Japanese voice talent, Yuichi Nakamura and Kana Hanazawa.

Take note; throughout the pre-registration period, you’re invited to participate in the Gleam giveaway event to kickstart the experience of the game world. The creative team has also been busy introducing players to the cast of characters and Astra’s six factions via weekly trailers.

Set in a world of science and magic, Alchemy Stars: Aurora Blast encourages strategic gameplay. You will master elemental attributes to ensure success. The gameplay involves colored tiles. You will need to match heroes with their tiles to land tactical attacks.

I’m glad to see a mobile RPG with such attributes. It does feel different from your usual “autoplay” offerings where the game is basically doing everything itself. Now, I’m not against such games. It’s just nice to see something else in the mobile RPG genre.

Alchemy Stars: Aurora Blast will be arriving on iOS and Android this summer. Players looking to learn more can follow the game on Twitter.

If you’re in the US, you can pre-register for Alchemy Stars: Aurora Blast by visiting the official site.
