“Attack on Titan” Fourth And Final Season to Premiere Fall 2020!

live-action Attack on Titan

With the third season of Attack on Titan coming to an end, a special preview video was shared to announce how the upcoming fourth season will act as the series finale. The upcoming episodes will air sometime in fall of 2020.

The era of Attack on Titan is concluding. The series manga creator Hajime Isayama previewed the rough layout draft for the final panel on the MBS documentary program Jōnetsu Tairiku in November. It was teased by the official Twitter account that AoT is indeed entering the final arc.

The manga series first began in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine on September 9, 2009.

Waiting for the anime has been a bit rough for fans. The first season premiered back in April 2013 with the second season not debuting until April 2017. The 22-episodes long third outing premiered July 23, 2018. A total of 58 episodes have aired as of writing this.

The description for the third season goes:

The battle to retake Wall Maria begins now! With Eren’s new hardening ability, the Scouts are confident they can seal the wall and take back Shiganshina District. If they succeed, Eren can finally unlock the secrets of the basement—and the world. But danger lies in wait as Reiner, Bertholdt, and the Beast Titan have plans of their own. Could this be humanity’s final battle for survival?

Funimation has acquired the home entertainment, video on demand, and broadcast rights of the series in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.

Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Hulu streamed the first part of the third season as it aired, and Funimation streamed an English dub. Adult Swim’s Toonami block aired the series beginning last August.
