‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ and ‘The Last Man on Earth’ Renewed by Fox!

Gine in Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Fox has renewed another one of my favorite TV shows, and I couldn’t be happier about it. The police sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is here to stay for another season!

According to E! Online, Fox has renewed two of its comedies. Brooklyn Nine-Nine will be back for a fourth season while The Last Man on Earth will return for its third outing. The renewal follows Fox’s recent decision to give a new season order for Gotham, Empire, Scream Queens and Bones as well.

While I haven’t started watching The Last Man on Earth yet, it is Brooklyn Nine-Nine getting picked up for another season that has made me excited. I have to be honest; I didn’t like the cop-comedy at first, but after watching a few episodes the show started to grow on me and now I can’t get enough of it. Not only does the show have amazing humor, which doesn’t make use of gay and racial stereotypes, it also boasts an impressive and diverse cast. Each character has layers and it is fun getting to know more about them as the show progresses.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine stars Andy Samberg as Detective Jacob Peralta and it is currently airing its third season. The show has also been nominated for numerous awards and has won two Golden Globes. Andre Braugher, who plays the openly gay Captain Raymond Holt, has been consecutively nominated twice at the Primetime Emmy Awards for his performance. He won the Critics’ Choice Awards for the same role in 2014 and in 2016.

Every actor brings their uniqueness to the ensemble but my favorite is Regina Linetti who is played by Chelsea Peretti. She is just perfection on the show with her quick one-liners and carefree attitude. And while she can come across as selfish most of the time, she always steps up to help her friends when they need it.
