Fans of the highly acclaimed indie game Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons can look forward to playing the title on the Nintendo Switch come May 28, 2019. The upcoming Switch release features a Co-Op mode as well as some extra content!

Global videogame publisher 505 Games and developer Turn Me Up Games will bring the award-winning Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons to Nintendo Switch on Tuesday, May 28, 2019. It will be available for $14.99 USD.

Pre-orders for this title are open. Those who pre-order this game from the Nintendo eShop will receive a limited-time 10% discount.

From “visionary” Swedish film director Josef Fares, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons was initially released back in 2013. It is available to play on the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, iOS, and Android.

Fans will be glad to know the Nintendo Switch version introduces an “all-new two-player local cooperative mode, offering players an opportunity to experience the heartwarming fairytale adventure together with friends or family for the very first time. Players can embark on an epic journey in single-player or with a friend to solve puzzles, explore stunning locations and face off against harrowing bosses.”

In addition to the new two-player cooperative mode, the upcoming version of the indie game will come with exclusive bonus content, including a behind-the-scenes commentary from director Josef Fares and a concept art gallery.

Here’s the trailer!

The gameplay makes the two brothers different. The older brother (Naia) is stronger and is able to pull levers or boost his younger brother to higher spaces. The younger sibling (Naiee) is able to pass between narrow bars. Both characters have to be manipulated to solve puzzles and progress.

The story is very emotional, so be cautious about picking up this title.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is rated T for Teen and will be available as a digital-only download via the Nintendo eShop.
