We Have a Trailer for Bungo Stray Dogs Season 3!

Bungo Stray Dogs season 3

Put out a call to the Armed Detective Agency: the Bungo Stray Dogs Season 3 promo dropped today on the series’ official website.

Based on the manga by Kafka Asagiri and Sango Harukawa, Bungo Stray Dogs season 3 will premiere April 12. The cast and staff from the previous two seasons will be returning for the third season. Yoji Enokido wrote the scripts; Takuya Igarashi directed. BONES will be back to the animation.

Joining the cast is Kenichi Suzumura, who will voice Katai Tayama. Former Armed Detective Agency member, Tayama, who has known Kunikida for a decade, now lives as a shut-in in his apartment.

GRANRODEO is back to perform the show’s opening theme song, “Setsuna no Ai”, which is featured in the promo. Luck Life will return with the show’s ending theme song, “Lily”.

Bungo Stray Dogs is the story of a group of individuals gifted with supernatural abilities who use those abilities for various reasons. The main conflict in season 1 centers around the members of the Armed Detective Agency versus those in the Port Mafia, while in season 2 they are fighting members of The Guild. Most of the characters are named after a famous literary author, and their special ability is based on said author’s works. The Armed Detective Agency and Port Mafia members are based on Japanese authors, while members of The Guild are based on Western authors.

Hopefully the events of Dead Apple tie into season 3, so I can at least understand what happened a little better.

Bungo Stray Dogs Season 3 is not the only anime returning in April that we at The Geekiary are excited about! With One Punch Man back on April 9, Bungo Stray Dogs returning April 12, and Attack on Titan premiering April 28, April is going to be a busy month for us! (Not the least because Game of Thrones is back April 14 and Avengers: Endgame premieres April 26!)
