“Batman: The Telltale Series” Episode 5 “City of Light” Gets December 13th Release Date!

City of Light Batman The Telltale Series Episode 5

Telltale has announced the release date for the finale of Batman – The Telltale Series. Episode 5 is titled “City of Light” and will be released on December 13th, 2016!

Fans got the fourth episode on 22nd November so they don’t have to wait long to play the fifth and final episode in the series. “City of Light” will be available for global digital download on 13th December 2016. You can play it on PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, Android, and iOS devices.

Telltale also released a note stating that the finale will begin differently for players depending on their decisions in the third act of “Guardians of Gotham”.

I decided to face Penguin rather than go and meet Harvey. So, let’s see where I start my journey during the finale. Also, Selina better be back for the finale. I need my Batman/Catwoman scenes.

Furthermore, Episode 1: “Realm of Shadows” is currently free for PC via Steam. So, if you haven’t played the series yet I implore that you get started. The plot is a refreshing take on the Batman lore and is full of interesting twists regarding the Wayne family. All in all, it is a great game!

A performance patch was also released by the company. The patch has updated the game to support a variety of PC configurations, and fix some bugs. I have heard some players complaining about frame rate drops so hopefully the released patch fixed the issue.

Here’s the official summary for “City of Light”:

In Episode 5, the leader of the Children of Arkham prepares to execute the final act of a plan to destroy the Wayne family name, and the people closest to you are in their path of vengeance. Can Batman’s ultimate secret be kept – his very identity – when it is causing chaos and death in Gotham? The fate of the Wayne family and of the city itself rests on your choices. What will you do? How far will you go? Which mask will you wear?

Players can also buy the series as a special Season Pass Disc in Europe and North America. It contains the first episode of the series. Consecutive episodes can be downloaded as they are released.

“City of Light” has been rated M (Mature) for Violence, Blood and Gore, and Language by the ESRB.

To make Telltale Games’ fans rejoice even more, The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series – A New Frontier will also be released in December. The two-episode premiere will occur on 20th December 2016.
