ClexaCon is Back with a Virtual Edition

After having to cancel their 2020 Las Vegas edition, ClexaCon is back. ClexaCon Virtual will be held from April 16 to 18, 2021.

ClexaCon is the first and largest multi-fandom event for LGBTQ+ women, trans and non-binary fans and creators. This year, they changed the format to adapt to most convention goers being unable to fly nationally or internationally, and will welcome fans from all over the world virtually. ClexaCon Virtual will host several activities over the 3 days: guest panels, special events, autographs, photo-ops, and 1-on-1 meet & greets.

As usual, their actor guest lineup is quite impressive: Amy Acker (Angel, Person of Interest), Jes Macallan (Legends of Tomorrow, Mistresses), Lesley-Ann Brandt (Lucifer, Spartacus), Jaime Murray (Warehouse 13, Spartacus), Joanne Kelly (Warehouse 13), Felicia Day (Buffy, Supernatural, The Guild), Kristin Bauer (True Blood, Once Upon A Time), Melonie Diaz (Charmed), Devon Hales (Teenage Bounty Hunters), Toya Turner (Warrior Nun), etc. Every guest will participate to a panel either individually or as part of a fandom panel like Teenage Bounty Hunters, Warrior Nun, Warehouse 13 (Bering & Wells), Grey’s Anatomy, Charmed (the reboot), etc.

Other guests (producers, directors, writers, personalities, etc.) will also join several panels over the weekend: Riley Silverman, Shamim Sarif, Ashlei Shyne, Troy Rockett, Vico Ortiz, Jenna Laurenzo, Jane Clarck, Shantell Yasmine Abeydeera… Some of the topics include LGBTQ Mental Health & Wellness, LGBTQ+ Asian Creators on Representation, Chemistry 101, and “Queerly Beloved FemSlash Bash: Part Deux! A Burlesque FanFic Experience!”.

Note that unlike some other virtual conventions, you will have to buy a ticket for the event (starting at $25) in order to purchase autographs or 1-on-1 meet & greets. Autographs can be personalized and the 1-on-1 meet and greets will last 3 minutes. They are not and cannot be recorded as per the convention rules.
