I don’t know about all of you, but I enjoyed watching ‘The Cursed Forest’ due to it featuring Team 15 as well as a familiar face from the Naruto franchise. The quality of the story might go downhill next week. However, for now, I’m looking forward to seeing more of the current Boruto anime filler arc.
I’m a big fan of Team 15 and the unique powers each team member has. Also, it doesn’t hurt to be part of a ninja team which has a strong summoning in its arsenal. Anyway, coming to ‘The Cursed Forest,’ as the name states, Team 7 and Team 15 have to work together to figure out what is causing certain wildlife injuries.
The episode begins on a comedic note when Boruto and Mitsuki mistake an ornithologist for a Peeping Tom. I don’t remember the name of the new character (and I don’t care to, yet), but I did like his quirk of wanting to lick anything to learn more about it.
Bird eggs? Licked!
Bird poop? Licked!
Boruto? If he had consented to it, the new character would have licked him. It was hilarious to watch.
‘The Cursed Forest’ was also fun to watch due to it featuring Jugo. For those who might not know, Jugo was introduced in Naruto as a member of Sasuke’s team. Due to Jugo’s ability dealing with immense strength (courtesy of his Cursed Mark), I still remember how I wanted him to fight Sakura. But with time, Sakura ended up being way too powerful. So, I wasn’t salty about the two never being able to battle each other.
The episode did a good job of showing us Jugo’s full form. He is clearly facing problems with keeping his Cursed Mark under control and I’m interested in seeing how his rage is connected to what is happening in the forest.
What did you think of Boruto this week? Did you enjoy ‘The Cursed Forest’? Let us know.
