Fandom Party Returns to SDCC 2022

Fandom Party

It’s one of the most popular and highly sought-after after parties of San Diego Comic-Con, welcoming fans and celebrities alike, and it’s back for 2022! Fandom, the world’s largest fan platform, is partnering with streaming service Paramount+ and graphic novel and collectibles publisher Z2 Comics to bring back the Fandom Party.

This year, the first in-person SDCC since 2019, the Fandom Party will be held at Float at the Hard Rock Hotel on Thursday July 21 from 7pm-11pm. Themed activations, interactive photo booths and an entertainment-inspired menu will draw from Paramount+ franchises like Halo, Beavis and Butt-Head, and the Star Trek universe. There will also be a performance by a surprise musical guest!

“There is no better place to come together and celebrate your fandoms than San Diego Comic-Con and we’re excited to finally bring back this immersive experience,” said Perkins Miller, CEO of Fandom. “Being back together in person with fans, creators and partners is a true fan homecoming.”

“Z2 is where culture and comics meet, so who better to partner with at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con but the incredible teams at Fandom and Paramount+,” said Josh Bernstein, CBO of Z2. “Excited for everyone to see what we have in store!”

Everything at the Fandom party is created “For the Love of Fans” including:

  • Say so long to standard wristbands – fans who attend the party will receive a custom collectable event lanyard and Pinfinity pin, which will provide an exclusive augmented reality experience for attendees that they can continue to relive throughout the year.
  • Guests can dive into their favorite Paramount+ series in the Fandom & Paramount+ interactive photo booth. Not only can attendees share these photos on social media, but they’ll also be streamed on the party’s giant LED screen in a digital mosaic celebrating the love of fans.
  • Attention all fans (but especially Halo Fans!) – quench your thirst at our Halo themed bar complete with drinks inspired by Halo, streaming exclusively on Paramount+.

There is no word yet on how and when to get tickets, but in previous years, Fandom would tweet a day the tickets would be available, and then a link would be provided to sign up. In the past, tickets have been first come, first served. There is no reason to suspect that the process will change, so if you’re going to SDCC, you should definitely follow Fandom on Twitter and put their tweets on alert!

UPDATE 7/12/22: Tickets for the Fandom party will drop tomorrow, July 13, on their official Twitter account. No time has been given, so make sure you have them on alerts! We also have no idea how many tickets will be available, so may the odds be ever in your favor.
