Funko at ECCC 2020: Exclusives & Podcast Recording!

Funko Pop ECCC Exclusive

Funko is coming to the Emerald City Comic Con (ECCC) and they’re bringing exclusives and hosting a live podcast recording!

Emerald City Comic Con, also known as ECCC, is an annual comic book convention that takes place in Seattle, Washington every year. Though San Diego Comic-Con and New York Comic Con are often considered the juggernauts of the United States con scene, this convention’s growing foothold on the convention circuit can’t be discounted.

Last year the convention had over 98,000 attendees, making it one of the biggest cons in the United States. And since this convention has gained a reputation as one of the biggies in the USA, Funko has stepped onto the scene and begun offering exclusives at the con.

This year they’ll be located at booth #2316, so pull out your maps, get your exhibit floor game plan ready, and let’s go!

ECCC Funko Exclusives!

First, let’s talk about the Funko ECCC Exclusives!

There are currently over 40 ECCC Exclusives listed ranging from Marvel and Star Wars, NBA, Dungeons & Dragons, and a whole lot more. We’ve got Pops!, pins, shirts, and Pez figures, so all your exclusives needs are covered. But if you’ve never done a Funko booth at a major con, there are a few important things you need to know. There’s a process involved, so listen closely!

The Process

All limited editions will be offered through a lottery system ONLY, and Funko has shared the following details about how that system will work:

We will implement a drawing system again, which opens on Monday, February 3rd and closes Sunday, February 16th at 11:59 PM PT. Participation in this process is REQUIRED to reserve a time to visit and shop the Funko booth at ECCC.

All winners will be notified by Friday, February 21 of the date and time that they can line up at the Funko booth.

This random drawing is for a chance to get a ticket to purchase items at the Funko booth.
For more details, visit the Funko Drawing page!

You can go to the drawing page here.

And yes, the drawing is already happening! And it closes on Sunday. Make sure you cruise the list of merch and enter the drawing so you don’t miss out.

They’ve also released a set of rules, which are as follows:

This random drawing is for a chance to get a ticket to purchase items at the Funko booth.

  • Attendee & Professional badges only. No Press, Exhibitors, Minions, or Staff
  • One application per person only
  • Winning a ticket does not guarantee you any specific item at the Funko booth. Items may sell out by the time you reach the front of the line
  • You must have a valid ECCC 2020 badge for the day you select to enter. No exceptions.
  • We will be checking your badge confirmation to ensure that if you win the drawing for a specific day, you have a badge for that corresponding day
  • Tickets are awarded randomly for a specific date and time and must be redeemed for that specific session only. No exceptions
  • Tickets are not transferable and IDs will be checked
  • You must bring your ticket to the Funko booth to be scanned at the time of your session. You will not be allowed to purchase exclusives without your drawing confirmation
  • There will be a strict limit of one of each item per ticket
  • You will not be able to line up at the Funko booth before your session begins
  • Every person in line will require a ticket. No exceptions
  • ADA attendees must also go through the same process noted above

Funko is a well-oiled machine when it comes to running their booths, so pay attention to their rules and plan accordingly! Good luck and may all your Funko exclusives dreams come true.

But limited edition exclusives aren’t the only thing Funko is bringing to the con.  There will be a live taping of the Funko Funkast! in room TCC L3-R3 on Friday, March 13th at 5:15 PM. The panel promises “Product hints, bad dad jokes, pop culture discussions, giveaways, games, and a Q&A!”
