InvestiGate a Brand New Star Trek Podcast from Gates McFadden

Investigates Podcast

Actor, director, and choreographer Gates McFadden launches a brand new podcast on May 12, 2021. Gates McFadden InvestiGates: Who Do You Think You Are? is produced by NacelleCast, the studio behind Netflix’s popular pop-culture documentaries The Toys That Made Us and The Movies That Made Us, among other titles.

McFadden is perhaps best known for her role as Dr. Beverly Crusher on Star Trek: The Next Generation, a role she reprised in Star Trek: First Contact, Star Trek: Generations, Star Trek: Insurrection, and Star Trek: Nemesis. And that’s why anyone who is a fan of the series should tune in to her limited series podcast, InvestiGates, which will feature intimate, one on one conversations with her friends and co-stars.

Guests for the podcast include Jonathan Frakes, LeVar Burton, Wil Wheaton, Brent Spiner, Marina Sirtis, Michael Dorn, John Delancie, Robert Picardo, Michael Westmore, Nana Visitor, and Denise Crosby, just to name a few, and they will be having conversations unlike anything Star Trek fans have heard before. Hardcore Trekkies and casual fans alike will delight in these never-before-heard stories from some of the actors who helped make Star Trek one of the most popular franchises in history.

“I can’t say I know the ins and outs of podcasting, although I am learning, but I do know how to be funny and silly, serious and truthful, and ultimately, how to have lively conversations with my extraordinary group of close friends from the Star Trek series,” said Gates McFadden. “And no, we don’t dissect the episodes, we speak about our lives.”

InvestiGates: Who Do You Think You Are? comes out out of NacelleCast Studios, the company’s recently-opened state-of-the-art podcast studio next to their production studio in Burbank, California.

“We’re deeply honored to be releasing Gates’ first podcast!” said Brian Volk-Weiss, Founder and CEO of The Nacelle Company. “I’ve been a Trekkie for over 35 years, and I’ve learned more from these shows than the last 100 conventions I’ve gone to combined!”

TrekMovie.com, your source for all things Star Trek, has an exclusive clip of the episode with LeVar Burton so that you can get a sense of what to expect from the podcast.

The podcast will be available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, Podbean, Amazon Music and more starting May 12th.
