“Hit the Floor” Creator Thanks the Greatest Fans in the World Through Video

Hit the Floor Title

I always love seeing fans being passionate. One such fan recently shared her love for Hit the Floor and, to make things even better, creator James LaRosa acknowledged it with a sweet thank you video.

If you haven’t been watching Hit the Floor then what have you been doing with your life? Start watching it right now. The VH1 show has drama, suspense, and one of the best queer representation storylines out there. Considering the quality content Hit the Floor offers fans, it’s no surprise the fandom is busy letting creative juices flow. Creator James LaRosa shares a lot of the fan work on his social media and repeatedly acknowledges the love he receives.

He recently thanked a fan through a video posted on his Instagram account. Said fan had sent him, and the rest of the writers, different gifts which ranged from cups with dialogue from the show, t-shirts, and chocolates related to Team Zude.

I have to be honest that all of the fan enthusiasm reminds me of something similar that Sterek fans did for Teen Wolf. Sigh! Remember when Teen Wolf wasn’t surrounded by all the drama and was actually a show with better ratings?

On one hand, it is fun to see fans sharing their love with the crew involved; on the other hand, the whole thing can quickly go downhill with a single misstep. Especially when TPTB decides to police what the fandom should and shouldn’t do.

But for now, let’s all enjoy the positivity Hit the Floor fandom is experiencing and hope it continues. While the show is coming back for a summer special I have my fingers crossed, just like the rest of the fandom, for the show to return for an official fourth season. The world needs good queer representation in shows that are highly enjoyable to watch.
