Fans of the highly-successful John Wick franchise have a new game to look forward to. Thomas Was Alone and Volume developer Mike Bithell has announced John Wick Hex. The upcoming title from Bithell Games has been described as a “fast-paced, action-oriented” strategy offering. It will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store on PC and Mac at launch.

I’m all for a John Wick game which emphasizes strategy and quick decision making. John Wick Hex is supposed to be “fight-choreographed chess brought to life as a video game.” It will feature the live-action film series’ signature gun-fu style while also expanding the overall lore.

Players must choose every action and attack they make, while considering their immediate cost and consequences. Every move in John Wick Hex feels like a scene from the movies, and every fight contributes to your progress on the job and requires precise strategic thinking.

The upcoming game will have an original story. Throughout the game, you will be able to unlock more weapons as well as suits for the titular character. There will be numerous locations for you to explore. Players will have to consider the type of guns they select for specific battles.

The developers shared, “ammo is finite and realistically simulated, so time your reloads and make the most of weapons you scavenge on the job.”

Mike Bithell will be directing the title which is being created alongside Lionsgate Games.

John Wick Hex is going for a “unique graphic noir art design.” The game features voices of the live-action franchise’s actors Ian McShane and Lance Reddick. More cast members will be announced later.

No release date has been shared as of yet.

As for more content, fans will be able to enjoy John Wick 3: Parabellum hitting US theatres come May 17, 2019. Along with Keanu Reeves as John Wick, it stars Halle Berry as Sofia. I can’t wait to watch this movie!
