“The Kid Who Would Be King” Gets April 4K Ultra-HD, Blu-ray, and DVD Release!

Courtesy of Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, fans of The Kid Who Would Be King will be able to own it on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD come April 16, 2019. The fantasy film stars Andy Serkis‘ son Louis Ashbourne Serkis.

The Kid Who Will Be King released in the United States on January 25, 2019. Along with Louis Ashbourne Serkis, the cast also includes Dean Chaumoo, Tom Taylor as Lance, Rhianna Dorris, Rebecca Ferguson, Angus Imrie as Merlin, and Patrick Stewart.

Here’s the official description:

Old school magic meets the modern world in the epic family-friendly adventure, The Kid Who Would Be King. Alex thinks he’s just another nobody, getting bullied at school and told what to do by his teachers, until he stumbles upon the mythical Sword in the Stone, Excalibur. Now, with the help of the legendary wizard Merlin, he must unite his friends and schoolyard enemies into an allied band of knights to defeat the wicked enchantress Morgana. With the future at stake, Alex must become the great leader he never dreamed he could be and save the world.

As of writing this, the film has a 90% Fresh Rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The movie was able to gross more than $20 million at the worldwide box office.
