If I were to choose a few, here are my picks:

I also got the chance to talk to Melissa about the idea behind launching Literary Book Gifts, what inspires her designs, her favorite author, and more.

Where did the idea of opening Literary Book Gifts come from?

I’ve always believed that great books deserve to be celebrated and shared. Especially this day in age of eBooks where you cannot even see the cover of what someone else is reading. So I thought what better way to show the book you love most than on your shirt, or maybe a tote bag.

What inspires your designs?

Each design is inspired by the book itself. The storyline, the characters, and everything else that goes with it. Sometimes the designs are based off of very old book covers or artwork, but in many cases, they are original in their attachment to the particular book. I also try to stick mainly to vintage designs that look authentic.

What are the items you currently offer?

I offer t-shirts, hoodies, tank tops, in both men’s and women’s styles, all of these come in a wide variety of colors. I also offer tote bags and backpacks, each of these comes in 3 different sizes.

Are there any other items you plan on launching with your designs in the near future?

I’d love to offer scarves and pillowcases one day!

Can people suggest an author or literary work for a design?

Yes! I welcome suggestions of titles an authors.

Who is your favorite author/s and/or literary work/s?

I am a huge Jane Austen fan and but I also loved reading the great classic Moby Dick by Herman Melville. Both of these styles are available at Literary Book Gifts!
