Marvel Releases October Solicitations! The X-Men are safe for now!

Death of X X-Men Marvel Comics

Marvel has released its solicitations for October. The Inhuman and mutants feud is still going on, but at least we don’t have to say good-bye to the X-Men titles just yet.

I have been really worried about the fate of the X-Men titles in the Marvel Comic Book Universe. They recently announced the Death of X arc. The upcoming four-part miniseries was the only comic book announced for Marvel NOW! So, of course I dreaded the cancellation of the current X-Men titles such as Extraordinary X-Men, All-New All-Different X-Men, and more. However, with the October solicitations it seems the X-Men titles are all safe…at least for now.

The first two issues of Death of X will be released in October. It is predicted that the outcome of the miniseries will give rise to a whole new direction for the Inhumans and the mutants. There’s an Inhuman vs. X-Men event coming up. Get ready!

Extraordinary X-Men will continue. Issue 15 will see the X-Men fight an extra dimensional being known as the World-Eater.

Coming to some of the other comic book series that I read, Ms. Marvel will be seeing a change in scenery. Kamala Khan decides to go on a road trip after Civil War II in issue 12. It will be interesting to see Kamala interacting with people while travelling around the world. It is also the perfect opportunity to have her visit Pakistan. Judging by the cover, which features a crescent moon and a single star, I do think she will go to meet the rest of her family in Karachi.

New Avengers will be concluding the Civil War II tie-in with issue 17. Will this mean the end of the New Avengers or will it continue along with the U.S. Avengers?

While I don’t read Black Panther, I will definitely be picking it up in October. Issue number 7 debuts ‘The Crew’ arc which features T’Challa teaming up with Luke Cage, Misty Knight, and Storm. Ororo is also T’Challa’s ex-wife so it’ll be interesting to see how they will work together in a team. Will those two reconcile? I hope not! Storm and Wolverine forever!

So, which new comic book issues you’ll be reading in October? Let us know!
