A new interesting game will be made available come early 2020. Titled MisBits, to be launched by 3BlackDot, it is a sandbox game where players get to control, build, battle, and explore an in-game world “unlike any other.”

I’m all for new fighting games that feature unique gameplay, and MisBits seems to be that kind of indie title. The official press release has described the upcoming title as:

The term “head-to-head battle” will never be thought of the same when MisBits, from 3BlackDot, launches into Steam Early Access in early 2020. Choosing from a motley crew of toy heads, you must roll and find a toy body – any body – to attach onto and assume their skills, as you take on opponents in wild multiplayer matchups.

I like how this game will offer a huge variety of head and body combos. This means a player’s gaming style and strategies will be tested and “constantly switched up.”

You can “turn your opponents into a frog with the Voodoo Shaman body, set explosive mines behind you with the Mechanical Spider, and many more. The mayhem is further amped up by signature moves, breaking toys, stealing bodies, picking up props and avoiding traps.”

The players will get to choose from familiar game modes such as Deathmatch or can dive into an “intuitive toolset” that allows them to create any type of game experience they want such as racing, platforming, puzzling, or arena, “the options are unlimited.”

Some of 3BlackDot’s own influencers have designed some of the first maps and challenges that will be in the game.

MisBits Features:

  • A band of zany characters.
  • Thousands of collectible and interchangeable head and body combos.
  • An endless variety of game modes and maps.
  • An amazingly deep game toolbox unlike anything currently available.

Here’s the trailer!

As for 3BlackDot, it is an “audience-driven creators collective” that develops entertainment properties and games and “ensures each title is as compelling and fun to watch as to play.”

Gamers can also sign up for the closed beta.
