One Punch Man Season 2 to Stream Exclusively on Hulu

One Punch Man Season 2

After the excitement of the initial announcement last August, VIZ Media has revealed the full release date for One Punch Man Season 2!

One Punch Man Season 2 will be released in the United States on April 9, the same day it airs in Japan. Presented in original Japanese audio with English subtitles, the official streaming home of the second season of the popular anime will be Hulu, with new episodes every week.

Based on the best-selling manga series created by ONE and illustrated by Yusuke Murata (and published by VIZ Media), One Punch Man follows the story of Saitama, a normal guy who becomes a superhero. After three years of “special training,” Saitama’s become so strong that he’s practically invincible. In fact, he’s too strong – even his mightiest opponents are taken out with a single punch. Alongside Genos, his faithful mostly-cybernetic disciple, Saitama begins his official hero duties as a member of the Hero Association, while Garou, a man utterly fascinated by monsters, makes his appearance.

“We’re excited to once again partner with Hulu to bring another action-packed season of ONE-PUNCH MAN to subscribers,” says Brian Ige, Vice President, Animation. “This new addition to the streaming service joins VIZ’s already expansive catalogue of hit series available on Hulu.”

The main cast will be reprising their roles in season 2 including Makoto Furukawa as Saitama, Kaito Ishikawa as Genos, Yuuki Kaji as Onsoku no Sonic (Speed-o’-Sound Sonic), Yūichi Nakamura as Mumen Rider, and Kazuhiro Yamaji as Bang.

If you’d like to catch up on the manga before the release of One Punch Man Season 2, most of the chapters are now available via VIZ Media and Shonen Jump’s digital service. For $1.99 a month, you can read a ridiculous amount of manga (when I was sick recently, I binged Kuroko’s Basketball). Or, if you don’t have the time for the manga, you can watch season 1 for free on the VIZ website.
