‘Our Flag Means Death’ Crew: WE DID IT

Happy Pride Month! Our Flag Means Death has been renewed for a second season and the Internet is rejoicing!

Friends, this has been quite the morning.  I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock (7:00am HST, for the curious) and opened up my phone and, what do you know, the very first tweet I see is an Our Flag Means Death renewal announcement.  In my groggy state I thought for sure I was hallucinating.  No way.  But here I am, caffeinated and alert, and that tweet is still there.

Crew, we did it! Our Flag Means Death has been renewed!  Our bottles and our letters and our trending events kicked up enough noise to get a second season of our delightful pirate show.

Now let’s be real for a second here.  Beyond the fact that Taika Waititi is super busy, we don’t have much else in the way of information about how this is going to play out.  When will it film?  When will it get released? Who will be the new additions to the cast?  No clue.  But we can put that on hold for a minute and celebrate the pure queer joy that this news has brought us.
