Wiccan and Hulkling enter LEGO Marvel’s Avengers!

One of the most queer-inclusive Marvel superhero team, the Young Avengers, can be unlocked in LEGO Marvel’s Avengers video game! Play as Wiccan and Hulkling!

I have been a fan of Young Avengers ever since the title’s debut, especially due to the team members Wiccan and Hulkling. While the new young characters were inspired by their Avengers counterparts, they quickly gained their own identity and fan following. Not only that, Marvel continuously kept the focus on Billy and Teddy, and the couple became the core members of the team. The series also went on to add more queer characters such as Prodigy, and Miss America aka America Chavez.

Now, with LEGO Marvel’s Avengers new DLC you can unlock and play with the Young Avengers team members. This isn’t the only game that Billy has appeared in though. Wiccan also appeared in Marvel Heroes but he was an alternate skin for Scarlet Witch, who is also his mother. I was kind of disappointed that the game didn’t create a whole new character. So being able to play with him as a proper character in another video game is welcome.

With the young superheroes now part of this game, I’m looking forward to seeing Wiccan and Hulkling, along with the rest of the Young Avengers, making their debut in the highly enjoyable Marvel Future Fight. Fingers crossed it happens soon!

You can also catch up with Billy and Teddy in the All-New, All-Different Marvel New Avengers. They are two of Marvel’s queer characters, and are all sorts of awesome. Hulkling is a Kree-Skrull hybrid and future King of Space, while Wiccan is a Demiurge, one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel comic book universe.
