Queer-Led “Adventure Time: Bonnie The Vampire Hunter Special” Issue 1 Coming This November

Fans of the long-running Adventure Time IP can look forward to the queer-led Adventure Time: Bonnie The Vampire Hunter Special Issue 1 from Oni Press and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products. Releasing on November 18, 2026, the romance story features Bonnibel Bubblegum and Marceline the vampire.

Written by Eisner Award-winning cartoonist Caroline Cash and “rising star” Tia Roxae, the upcoming Adventure Time: Bonnie The Vampire Hunter Special Issue 1 will be a self-contained 56-page comic book. Of course, fans would already be aware that the story is set in an alternate universe where Princess Bubblegum is a vampire hunter.

According to the promotional description, Bonnibel Bubblegum’s mission is to eradicate the vampires that have plagued her world. Her mission has led Bonnie to live a lonely existence as she tries to protect those she can. However, things change for Bonnibel in a major way when she finds herself finding an ally in none other than a vampire. And it’s not just any vampire. It’s an “extremely pretty vampire” whom Bonnibel also considers “extremely kissable.”

My heart! I’m already getting all the feels.

Things get even more complicated because Marceline also has a vampire boyfriend. Uh-oh!

Here’s to hoping Cash handles the romantic drama well. I’m not a fan of possible problematic bisexual tropes showing up in queer media.

As for the covers, Adventure Time: Bonnie The Vampire Hunter Special Issue 1 will have visually stunning covers from Cash (Cover A and B&W Variant), Roxae (Cover B), and Eden II‘s K. Wroten (Cover C).

The Adventure Time: Bonnie The Vampire Hunter Special Issue 1 One-shot is meant for all ages and will retail for $7.99.
