505 Games and developer TAG Studio have announced that Rescue Party: Live!, a co-op party game featuring everyday heroes fighting natural disasters and saving lives, will be coming to Steam this fall.

I don’t know about you, but I like the concept behind Rescue Party: Live! The upcoming game can be played solo or with up to four players (online or locally). You are tasked with saving people during a variety of natural disasters including earthquakes and fires. Players will be able to control firefighters, lifeguards, volunteers, and even a guide dog named Poppy Bark as they try to rescue those in need before time runs out.

There are nine rescue team volunteers for players to choose from. It is up to you if you wish to play solo or while cooperating with friends or family members. You will need to analyze your environment and gather information to create the best plan of action. Not only that, but the player’s camera is also a live media broadcast of the rescue-in-progress complete with a reporter’s commentary. No wonder the title of the game has the word “Live!” in it.

The upcoming title is the first party game produced in China to be published by 505 Games, according to Raffaele Galante, Co-CEO and founder (along with his brother Rami Galante) of Digital Bros Group.

According to the game’s description:

Designed as the perfect party game experience, Rescue Party: Live! can be enjoyed both online and locally, where players can use four controllers simultaneously or share a keyboard for maximum chaotic fun! Across a variety of game events, disasters and terrain, no rescue mission will be the same.

Rescue Party: Live! has been an extremely exciting title for the team to create. It offers a fun and strategic party game to enjoy with friends,” shared Yili Gao, a producer at TAG Studio. “We want to champion the hardworking volunteers and emergency services representatives around the world, while also showing players that everyone can make a difference. We can’t wait for players to get their hands on the game later this year and start saving lives!”

I have shared the enjoyable trailer below. I like the character designs and the overall cartoony visuals. Even though I’m not the biggest fan of games featuring a countdown mechanic, I do feel this title has what it takes to offer a lot of fun when playing with other people.

Having presented at the F5 Games Show, Rescue Partly: Live! has further appearances planned at Game Connection X China Joy 2021 between July 30 and August 2, 2021.
