San Diego Comic Con May Be Over, But Clash of Clans: Clash for the Stache Is Still One of the City’s Most Fun Experiences

While San Diego Comic-Con 2026 has officially wrapped up, one of this year’s most entertaining off-site activations is still welcoming visitors.

Clash of Clans: Clash for the Stache remains open at Seaport Headquarters through September 7, giving both locals and tourists the opportunity to experience the world of Clash of Clans long after the convention crowds have gone home.

My friend and I recently had the chance to check it out and it ended up being one of the most enjoyable interactive experiences we visited during Comic-Con weekend.

After arriving for our scheduled reservation time, we checked in and waited briefly before being assigned to a team. The experience groups guests into teams of eight, so the two of us were paired with six other players. Before the adventure began, each team got to choose a name and naturally, we went with The Hateful Eight.

Even before entering the attraction, the immersion had already begun. The staff member handling check in stayed completely in character, enthusiastically interacting with guests and setting the tone for the adventure ahead. It was a small detail that immediately made the experience feel more like stepping into the world of Clash of Clans rather than simply waiting in line.

Once inside, our group received a quick briefing explaining how the experience would work. We were also able to take a photo of a QR code that awarded 50 in game rewards, a fun bonus for players of the mobile game.

When it was our turn, we entered a themed pre-show room where the Archer Queen welcomed us and explained our mission. Like the cast member outside, she remained fully committed to her character, making the introduction feel like part of an actual Clash of Clans story instead of a rambled set of instructions.

From there, we entered the main gameplay area to begin our quest to recover the Barbarian’s legendary mustache from the Goblin King.

The experience is divided into three challenge rounds, each requiring your team to work together to solve physical puzzles and complete objectives before time runs out. Communication and teamwork are key, and while our team only managed to earn one or two stars on each round, everyone was laughing, encouraging one another, and having a genuinely great time throughout the adventure.

At the end of the final challenge, one member of our team had the honor of ringing the victory bell before we exited the experience.

Afterward, guests are invited to a photo opportunity where professional pictures are taken and made available through a QR code. Making it easy to download and share your memories. There’s also a merchandise area featuring exclusive Clash of Clans apparel, accessories, collectibles and other themed items, giving fans one last chance to bring home a souvenir before leaving.

What impressed me most wasn’t just the games themselves, it was how much effort went into making the experience feel immersive. Between the themed sets, energetic performers, interactive challenges and attention to detail, Clash for the Stache felt like much more than a simple promotional event. It was an attraction that both longtime Clash of Clans fans and newcomers could enjoy together.
