SDCC Event Announcement: Fandom Fete

The Geekiary is proud to announce the launch of our IndieGoGo fundraiser for the SDCC 2018 pre-convention event Fandom Fete!

Fandom Fete is a multi fandom social event being hosted by The Geekiary in partnership with The Collective Blog, Friends of Comic Con, and Saga Event Planning.  The premiere event will take place in a 21+ venue in the heart of the Gaslamp on Wednesday July 18th, 2018.  General admission will begin at 9:30pm.  The event will feature a semi-open bar, free swag, cosplay related activities, and entertainment.  VIP admission will include early admission (first chance at the open bar!) and extra swag, including a Geekiary tote bag.

In order to secure our venue, we’ve launched an IndieGoGo campaign featuring SDCC Exclusive merchandise, celebrity autographs, eBook bundles, and special advanced admission VIP passes, and much much more.  We are also offering exclusive opportunities for other groups including a lower tier partnership perk for small companies and blogs, and a sponsorship perk with top billing and a VIP group admission.  More details about the venue, swag, and activities will become available after the IndieGoGo is complete.  We have a lot of ideas for fun stuff we want to bring you, so help us make it a reality by supporting our fundraiser!

Fandom Fete will be the first SDCC event launched by this partnership of blogs, but we hope it won’t be the last.  Many of the event organizers are long time San Diego Comic-Con attendees ourselves.  We’ve attended countless amazing parties as guests and hope to create a multi fandom party that’ll last for many years to come.  We want you to be part of it!  Let’s kick off SDCC 2018 with a bash!
