Fans have been wondering about when they will get to enjoy the four-episode RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race miniseries. Well, it was revealed today that said show will air on VH1 come April 24, 2020!

Everyone around the globe is welcoming any new content they can get because of the times we are all living in. While certain shows have been postponed, it’s nice to know that RuPaul will continue to glam up the world through the power of drag. At least, for a few more months.

The first-ever RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race will debut on VH1 on April 24, 2020, at 9:30 pm. According to the information shared with media, each episode in this miniseries will feature three celebrities going through a drag transformation.

Of course, the show’s past contestants have been invited to put the chosen celebrities in drag. The past contestants, given the title of “Queen Supremes”, include Alyssa Edwards, Asia O’Hara, Bob the Drag Queen, Kim Chi, Monet X Change, Monique Heart, Nina West, Trinity the Tuck, Trixie Mattel, and Vanessa Vanjie Mateo.

For those in the Drag Race fandom, you know these are some big names. I can’t wait to see them share the screen! The celebrities will be asked to participate in fan-favorite challenges as well as walk the runway in drag.

From the three celebrities showcased in each episode, only one will be able to achieve the title of “America’s Next Celebrity Drag Race Superstar” and win prize money for a charity they support.

I don’t think the celebrities have been revealed yet, right? If you think you know, please drop their names in the comments below. They are supposed to be from film, music, and television.

RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race is a blast,” shared four-time Emmy Award-winning host and executive producer RuPaul. “We put these celebrities through it! Because no matter how famous your charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent is, you still put your pantyhose on one leg at a time.”

The new series has been produced by World of Wonder Prods. with Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, Tom Campbell, Steven Corfe, Mandy Salangsang, San Heng and RuPaul serving as executive producers. Tim Palazzola serves as executive producer for VH1, and Jen Passovoy serves as producer.

For those wondering about the scheduling, because RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 12 (and Untucked) is still airing, Variety has the breakdown. Turns out, RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race will follow new episodes of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 12 (which air Fridays at 8 p.m. on VH1). Untucked has been moved to 11 p.m., but only until the new miniseries airs.

And of course, we still have RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 5 to look forward to on Showtime come June 5, 2020.

That’s a whole lot of Drag Race content for me to cover, and you know what? I don’t mind. It gives me something to look forward to while we all try to stay safe at home.
