Disney’s “Sleeping Beauty: Anniversary Edition” Joining the Walt Disney Signature Collection This September!

The Walt Disney Signature Collection is adding Sleeping Beauty come September 24, 2019. The Disney animated classic will be available Digitally in HD and Movies Anywhere as well as on Blu-ray. The home release will be accompanied by extra features.

Sleeping Beauty is the 11th title to join the Walt Disney Signature Collection, which includes Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Beauty and the Beast, Pinocchio, Bambi, The Lion King, Lady and the Tramp, Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, and Aladdin.

The approximate running time for the animated feature is 75 minutes. It has been rated G in the U.S. and Canada.

The animated classic debuted back in 1959 and ended up being a commercial success for the House of Mouse.

A live-action adaptation titled Maleficent (starring Oscar-winner Angelina Jolie) was released in 2014. A sequel to Maleficent is scheduled to premiere on October 18, 2019. I can’t wait!
