Halle Berry’s upcoming sci-fi movie Moonfall has added Stanley Tucci and John Bradley to the cast.

Deadline reported the latest additions to the cast of Moonfall. The upcoming film is from the well-known director and screenwriter Roland Emmerich for Lionsgate. Stanley Tucci and John Bradley will be working with Halle Berry, Patrick Wilson, and Charlie Plummer.

I talked about Moonfall back in May of this year. Of course, I’m excited to see Berry on the big screen again, and having Wilson and Tucci in the same film doesn’t hurt. For those following the current project, Josh Gad was attached as well. However, Deadline reported that he had to step away due to scheduling conflicts. So, actor John Bradley (Game of Thrones) will be taking up Gad’s role as the character named KC Houseman. Houseman’s an unkempt and eccentric genius who finds out about the moon falling out of its orbit.

Tucci’s character is named Tom Phillips. He’s been described as a wealthy car dealer who is also the husband of Brian Harper’s (played by Wilson) ex-wife. I take it there’s going to be drama between Tom and Brian? Let’s see.

Halle Berry’s character will be a NASA astronaut-turned-administrator. Apparently, one of her previous space missions might hold an important clue to save Earth.

The North American rights to Moonfall were acquired by Lionsgate last year. The film is currently scheduled to be released sometime in 2022.

Berry recently posted about quarantining in Canada (one would assume she’s in the country to begin shooting for this project).

She can next be seen in her directorial debut Bruised, which Netflix picked up for a reported sum of approximately $20 million.

Tucci can be seen in the remake of The Witches. It will premiere on HBO Max come October 22, 2020. The cast includes Octavia Spencer and Anne Hathaway.

Tucci also co-starred with Colin Firth in the (Oscar bait) gay-themed dramatic movie Supernova, which is scheduled to be released on November 27, 2020.

Are you excited about Moonfall?

I sure am!
