Fossil Games and Hound Picked Games have announced that retro-inspired game Sunshine Manor has entered full development after a very successful Kickstarter Campaign.

I talked about the Kickstarter for Sunshine Manor back in October of this year. The campaign went on to reach 134% of its funding goal to collect £26,842 from 627 backers. Backers will be getting the upcoming title as part of the Premium Edition Games Nintendo Switch physical Sunshine Anthology edition, along with digital codes for the PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch versions of Sunshine Manor and its sequel, Camp Sunshine.

If you’re still interested in supporting this game, for a limited time, fans can pre-order the physical Nintendo Switch Sunshine Anthology, as well as the special Sunshine Edition and digital codes for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox – alongside its exclusive goodies. The funds collected will count towards unlocking the remaining Stretch Goals that were not achieved during the Kickstarter campaign.

These Stretch Goals include a chiptune remix for the Sunshine Manor soundtrack, a new costume and power for main protagonist Ada, an extra bonus mini-chapter, and more!

We really cannot express enough how grateful we are to everyone who jumped on the Sunshine Manor Kickstarter and pledged!. We’re excited to now move onto the next stage of development and can’t wait to share more information with everyone as we progress,” said Paul Dolby, developer at Fossil Games. “During the campaign, we were inundated with requests for people wanting to support our game via PayPal, but had no Kickstarter account – and so, we’re really pleased to say that we’ve opened up a store for anyone who missed the opportunity to pledge, so they can pre-order our beautiful Nintendo Switch physical editions by Premium Edition Games.”

Here’s the description for the game:

Sunshine Manor is a horror adventure game that’s inspired by the famous horror movies of the 1980s. You play as Ada whose night of trick or treating turns into a night of terror when she becomes trapped inside the old Aitken Manor. Use Ada’s latent psychic powers to battle all kinds of fiendish demons, solve puzzles and maybe even defeat the omni-present Shadow Man….who is watching your every move!

The Key Features include:

  • Discovering and exploring the ever-changing haunted Sunshine Manor.
  • Transporting yourself to the Demon Realm and banish hellish fiends!
  • Beautiful hand-drawn 8-bit graphics.
  • A deadly game of Cat & Mouse where the Demon can be anywhere.
  • 80s Soundtrack written especially for this game.
  • A fantastic story-driven narrative.
  • Devious puzzles to tax your brain box.
  • Lots of scares, spooky scenes, and nods to iconic horror franchises.
  • What happened in the old Aitken House that triggered the Camp Sunshine Massacre?
