The Fangirls Coloring Book: An Exciting Release from Her Universe Press!

The Fangirls Coloring Book

A lot of us here at The Geekiary love Her Universe – personally I think at least 10% of my wardrobe is from Ashley Eckstein’s clothing line. And recently, they put together Her Universe Press to publish books, which was another thing to love about HU…a company that is now bringing us “The Fangirls Coloring Book”!

Coloring books have exploded onto the scene lately. You can buy ones whose pages are full of mandalas, fantastical scenery, or flowers…and nowadays you can even get coloring books featuring Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, and more. However, hearing about “The Fangirls Coloring Book” really brightened my day, because I’ll be honest…I’m a huge fan of just about everything Ashley Eckstein does.

Hospitals have used coloring pages, especially mandalas, in adult care facilities for quite some time. I can personally attest to the calming effect of putting marker to page and filling in those repetitive symbols…and I’m no artist, that’s for sure. But I’ve looked everywhere for less intricate adult coloring books, and had yet to find one that piqued my interest…until I saw some pages from “The Fangirls Coloring Book”.

The Fangirls Coloring Book

“The Fangirls Coloring Book” features illustrations by Katie Cook, who is a fan favorite artist herself, and is written by Katie along with Ashley Eckstein. They’ve put together fifteen different fangirls on fifty single-sided pages, and they promise “a colorful variety of fangirls from the world of geekdom”. All I have to say is, if the rest of the options are like the ones pictured above and on Amazon, I am all in!

You can purchase “The Fangirls Coloring Book” today on Amazon.com – and after seeing a couple more pages featured there, I think this coloring book would be great for kids as well as adults. I know what my nieces are getting for their birthdays this year…
