I’m always keeping an eye out for indie game titles with an interesting premise. So, I bring to you, Trashed. The upcoming garbage management action-adventure game will be releasing on Steam Early Access on February 15, 2021.

From the promo content I have seen, Trashed has got me all excited about managing garbage on alien planets. The game will allow you to build structures for waste management. Of course, you will also have to fight alien creatures and other garbage monsters. Your playable character will be able to find or buy weapons.

This indie game features vehicles to transverse the surface of the in-game planets faster, or to aid in pushing trash into incinerators or recyclers.

The official description reads:

The foreman has had enough. He’s taken a lot of crap from the boss over at Mega Dump Corp. Now it is your turn to turn a ruined outfit into a thriving business and restore the health of the planet! As you grow your operation bigger, you will take on challenges on other planets. Beware though, a dark secret lurks on the planet’s surface.

I like how progress will be displayed through the planet returning to its original glory. Apparantly, the storyline is said to “evolve” as you decide to do new missions and contracts. I’m not exactly sure what that means, though.

Here’s the trailer!

The Key Features include:

  • Enjoying and exploring a Unique Waste Management system.
  • Getting to participate in Planet Terraforming.
  • An immersive Day/Night System.
  • Experiencing a Top-Down/3rd person Combat/Action.
  • There are 3 different planets to explore.
  • Special weapons and upgrades for each planet.
  • Making use of a Strategy-based building mechanic.
  • Searching for unique items and locations.
  • Various vehicles to use and operate.

Trashed is by developer Josh Presseisen and publisher Crescent Moon Games. Do consider adding Trashed to your Steam wishlist.
