‘The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series – A New Frontier’ Will Premiere This November!

The release date for Season 3 of Telltale’s critically acclaimed The Walking Dead Series has been announced. I can’t wait for November to arrive!

Ever since the game’s announcement at E3 in June, the title and the release date for the third season in The Walking Dead series has been kept under wraps by Telltale. However, during their panel at PAX West, the company finally shared some exciting details with their fans.

The third season will be called The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series – A New Frontier. While no exact release date was announced, we do know that it will be premiering some time in November 2016. The upcoming game will be available for PC/Mac, mobile platforms, and other consoles.

Consoles will also have the option to buy a ‘Season Pass Disc.’ It will contain the first episode of the season. The subsequent episodes will be made available via download as they are released.

“This third new season will serve as both a continuation of what’s come before in our story, as well as an all-new beginning set nearly four years after the outbreak events of Season One,” said Kevin Bruner, Co-Founder and CEO of Telltale Games. “As a harrowing and horrific drama, ‘A New Frontier’ will explore beyond what it means to survive in a world ravaged by the undead, and will see our characters confronting the new rules of order and justice in a land being brutally reclaimed and rediscovered by what’s left of humanity itself.”

Javier is a new character that players will be able to control. However, fans of Clementine, now a teenager, don’t need to feel sad as she will be playable, too.

Also, check out our interview with Melissa Hutchinson, Clemetine’s voice actress, about eventually seeing an older version of the character. Let’s see what Clementine fans will get when the first episode of season 3 releases. She’s already missing almost half of her finger. So, I wonder what happened to her.

“When we began this series, we explored what it meant to protect a character like Clementine at all costs,” said Kevin Boyle, Executive Producer on the series. “Years later, meeting her for the first time, Javier will begin to unravel the mystery of who Clementine has become, as her story intersects with his – both of them still driven by the things they value most long after society’s collapse.”

A spin-off focusing on Michonne, a character from The Walking Dead comic book series and the TV show, was also released by the company this year.

Telltale will be treating fans to content from Batman: The Telltale Series – Episode 2 ‘Children of Arkham’ at PAX West.
