Zombies vs Werewolf “Dead Howling” Gets UK Premiere at Tubi FrightFest Halloween 2026

Horror movies set in a post-apocalyptic zombie-filled world aren’t anything new. However, as a fan of such a genre, I try to keep an eye out for a distinct creative twist. And I feel that Dead Howling might be a movie I’ll enjoy due to the story focusing on a zombie swarm vs werewolf.
Directed by John V. Soto, Dead Howling will be getting it’s UK premiere at the Tubi FrightFest Halloween 2026 event on October 31, 2026. A home release of the movie on Blu-ray, DVD, and digital will follow on November 2, 2026, by Kaleidoscope Home Entertainment.
The premiere will be held at the ODEON Luxe West End, with the two time slots being 10:20 PM and 10:45 PM for those able to attend during the Tubi FrightFest Halloween 2026 festivities.
The producers behind the project are the ones who brought genre fans Dog Soldiers and Terrifier 3. The cast includes Joel Jackson, Ryan Kwanten, Temuera Morrison (Star Wars IP), and Tom Burlinson. Kwanten being part of a movie that has werewolves in it just makes sense considering his True Blood past.
According to the synopsis for Dead Howling and from what I could gather by watching the trailer, the world has been devastated by a zombie virus (which has no cure). Our hero, named Carter, lives a solitary life. However, that changes when he has to step in to protect two siblings, Megan and Billy. With Carter having the ability to transform into a werewolf to get rid of zombies, the trio makes their way to a rumored Sanctuary. However, the army is after the trio as well as, apparantly, “the next evolution” of the undead.
The runtime for this horror-thriller is supposed to be around 1 hour 43 minutes. Not too bad for such a movie. Dead Howling has been rated BBFC Cert: 15.

Now, I do have to say that even though I’m excited about Dead Howling, I do feel the werewolf makeup could be a lot better. In a sense, I would rather be okay with the werewolf look from the Teen Wolf TV series instead of a werewolf looking like a human inside a costume.
But oh well, maybe the visuals will work in the movie? Hmmm. Anyway, the zombies look good, and the film seems well-acted and shot. So, I do have high hopes.
What are your thoughts about Dead Howling?
