“Where we’re going, we don’t need roads!”: October’s LootCrate
There was a lot of buzz for the October LootCrate at NYCC, and let me tell you, it was deserved. I have never been so thrilled upon opening the iconic black box to see the goodies inside.
Just in time for Back to the Future Part II Day (October 21st, 2015, for those of you that haven’t seen the trilogy – shame on you!), we have LootCrate’s October crate with the theme of “Time”.
First up, we have have two BTTF items: a Funko Pop Vinyl of Dr. Emmett Brown. It’s pretty sweet with the battery cables and all. We also have a 1:5 scale model of a Hover Board. It took 30 years, but I finally have one… though it doesn’t work like it should and is decidedly quite small. Dammit!
The next item in the box is a Sonic Spork. Basically, a sonic screwdriver attached to the end of a spork. Call me lame, but I kinda really like it. It matched my Doctor Who mug from Titan Merchandise that I keep at work. Guess my mug is getting a new friend.
Also in the box was an awesome Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure t-shirt. I grinned when I saw the “Be Excellent To Each Other” plastered across the front.
The obligatory badge had a flux capacitor on it, and the magazine was complete with a “Who’s Your Doctor?” Flow Chart. Though I love my 10th Doctor, I ended up with the 8th Doctor – no complaints here!
All in all, I loved this month’s box. It was truly outatime! (Okay, so that doesn’t really fit, but work with me!)
