“Five Nights at Freddy’s” Tabletop Game Announced by Funko Games!
Funko Games has announced a new tabletop game inspired by the iconic horror IP Five Nights at Freddy’s. The upcoming tabletop game will be made available to fans starting in October of this year!
Take note; Five Nights at Freddy’s (also known as FNAF) will be exclusively available at GameStop come October 1, 2023, to the end of this year. It will also be available via FunkoGames.com.
The latest offering will include a Premier Set as well as a bunch of Character Packs so you can build the team featuring your favorite characters, including Freddy Fazbear, Chica the Chicken, and Foxy the Pirate.
The gameplay involves head-to-head battles with mechanical monsters. It is supposed to be quite fast-paced, with each session lasting only 15 minutes.
The Premier Set will come with four figurines. Of course, each character will be accompanied by their own unique abilities and attacks. Apparently, with 16 additional FNAF characters up for grabs, there’s a lot of strategic gameplay being offered, depending on the characters you choose to play with. From what I can tell, Series 1 is supposed to have 20 character figures.
The 2-player Premier Set is meant for ages 6 and up and it will retail for MSRP $19.99 USD. This particular set will contain 4 Character Figures, 4 Character Cards, 2 Basic Character Tokens, 2 FightLine Tracks, 12-Sided Die, 14 Point Tokens, 12 Coins, and instructions.
The Character Packs will retail for $4.99 USD each. It will contain 1 Figure, 1 Character Card, 2 Basic Character Tokens, 1 FightLine Track, 7 Point Tickets, 6 Coins, Die, and instructions.
And hey, if you aren’t someone who is really into tabletop gaming, you can always simply collect all of the figurines. They look quite well-detailed. I want them!
Along with this particular collectible game, fans of FNAF can also look forward to the live-action feature film starring Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, Piper Rubio, and Matthew Lillard.
As of writing this, the Five Nights at Freddy’s live-action movie is scheduled for simultaneous release in theatres and on the Peacock streaming service in the United States on October 27, 2023, by Universal Pictures.
