A full trailer for the Bleach live-action adaptation has been released, and while I don’t see Orihime in it, I’m still excited to see Ichigo and the rest of the gang fight Hollows. The upcoming film will be released in Japan on July 20, 2018.

Even though the manga became a rushed mess during the final arc, I still enjoyed reading all of the chapters. It wasn’t the best manga out there, but mangaka Tite Kubo had created characters I liked and wanted to know more about. One of the things I enjoyed about Bleach was how, even though Ichigo was the main character, Kubo still allowed other members of the cast to shine during battles. This is something I hoped to see in Naruto (it didn’t happen), and I’m still hoping to see in Boruto (fingers crossed!).

Anyway, coming to the Bleach live-action trailer, Warner Bros. Japan released it. According to the announcement, the film’s plot will cover the first 8 volumes of the manga. The trailer shows Ichigo Kurosaki (Sota Fukushi), Rukia Kuchiki (Hana Sugisaki ), Uryu Ishida (Ryo Yoshizawa), Byakuya Kuchiki (Miyavi), and Renji Abarai (Taichi Saotome).

Check it out!

I was expecting Orihime to be a part of the live-action adaptation. However, when you think about it, her powers would require casting six more actors to portray her Shun Shun Rikka skill. Maybe the first film will do great and Orihime will be included in the sequel? Other famous characters such as Kisuke Urahara and Chad don’t appear in the trailer either. Let’s see if they’re part of the film or not, because I don’t see them in the cast list.

Released in August 2001, the Bleach manga ran for 74 volumes, concluding on August 22, 2016. The anime adaptation ran from 2004 to 2012. A total of four anime feature films were also released.
